- Digitz is a wonderful learning game.

Not only is this game fun, but it helps kids grasp simple multiplication problems, such as factors, pairs, and sequences. Digitz will have a problem in the LCD window, such as 3 x _ = 12, you have to choose the answer to fill in the blank from one of the choices in the yellow and orange shapes.

The game awards kids with sounds, and also tracks their time in each game, this way they can go back and see if they can finish it faster. One of the features of Digitz that I found to be a plus, is the fact that this a no-fail game, meaning you can't lose, which is a very important factor in learning. Positive feedback is extremely important to education.

Digitz comes with a 1/4" headphone jack, so if you have a regular set of headphones with a 1/8" jack, you will need to buy an adapter. Adapters are available from most electronic stores, such as Radio Shack or Wal-Mart.

The size of Digitz makes it easy to take with you on trips and the headphone jack makes sure that only the person playing can hear it, no more "Dad, he won't turn that down so I can hear the radio".

Digitz provides hours of educational entertainment for kids and allows them to "Master" simple multiplication. Once again I think this would make a great holiday gift, especially for parents with children who are having problems with multiplication.

My thanks to Educational Insights for providing me with Digitz for review, I look forward to reviewing more for them in the future.

- The kids love it!

"I purchased this item to help my students review and learn their multiplication tables. The kids love it! They really like to compete to see who can get the fastest time. Previously I used flash cards, but with limited results. With Digitz the results were amazingly fast. Best of all, the students are learning while having fun. Highly recommended."

- ...nothing compares to Digitz.

"As a teacher and a home schooling mom, I go out of my way to find new and unique ways to teach my students and my daughters. Recently one of my students got talking about math and multiplication. At age 8 he amazed me with his knowledge of multiplication facts and such. Upon talking to his father I learned that my student had been playing with a game called Digitz.

I asked to see the game, and was amazed. The inventor of this game has come up with a unique way to study and review multiplication facts through a variety of games. Even my 6 year old was able to set the game for the 0, 1, and 5 times tables and was soon learning how to solve the problems. She had never done multiplication before in her life.

In my years I have taught multiplication through class games such as Jeopardy and bingo. I have also used flash cards and such, but nothing compares to Digitz. On top of this, it is portable so that the child can take it in the car, and there is a volume control dial in case you are somewhere that it can not be turned up. I highly recommend this game."

- Digitz made the cut!

A panel of teachers, parents, curriculum specialists (and of course kids!) put hundreds of products through their paces to come up with our favorites. Digitz made the cut! Here's what the folks at www.education.com had to say:

"This game (shaped like the old-school electronic Simon) is our stocking stuffer pick. It was a big hit with third graders, as they got to put their multiplication skills to the test. From the moment the On button was pressed, and the goofy voice announced, "Let's play Digitz!!" the kids couldn't stop smiling. With 5 different games and various skill levels, everybody who played came away happy. Since Digitz is all about multiplication facts, it would not be very much fun for someone who does not have at least beginning level knowledge of their times tables. But from third grade and up, this game is a smash."
